Its one of those Kumbaya moments in American History.  God knows we were due for one.  The last time we all felt this good, in case you missed it, was August 9th 1974 when Nixon resigned.  Before that was the day Japan surrendered, and July 4th 1776……Yeah, its right up there.

Its one of those Kumbaya moments when you deeply sense that we got our country back and somehow we are going to be able to pull ourselves out of this twisted wreckage, we will build something beautiful out of whats left.

Its one of those Kumbaya moments when anything is possible.  Even the Cardinals could go to the Superbowl.

I don’t buy it.

So thats why I’m here…………..because its just too goddam good to be true. Its a dirty job but somebody has got to be there to chronicle the whole thing as it starts to spin and whir.  Somebody has got to be there with their eyes wide to watch the whole goddam thing crash and burn.

Yes it’s a dirty job, but thank God, I am here to chronicle the entire dirty business.
